Ivory Soap Character Design

The goal of this project was to design a character for Procter & Gamble’s Ivory soap—one that could represent the brand across packaging and product applications. To add imagination and a gentle sense of humor, I placed the character in natural settings, highlighting Ivory as an eco-friendly soap.

The character always appears with closed eyes, as if quietly meditating on the clean, soft scent of Ivory’s lather carried by a light breeze. This gesture also serves as a metaphor, evoking childhood memories tied to the brand’s long history.

While maintaining the core personality of the character, I explored a range of illustration styles through different line qualities, colors, and mediums. By refining the design into a more androgynous, mature form—removing the immaturity of earlier iterations—the character expands its appeal across age groups and remains neutral in terms of gender.
